Back on the road again

So we are back on the road again, leaving Jodphur and flying to Bangalore via Mumbai where we will join the Exodus Cycling Kerala and Tropical India tour.

We knew that because we were making an internal flight our weight allowance would be half of the international and that we would have to pay excess luggage fees.  But we were still really cross that despite all the efforts of trying to pre book this before leaving the UK and being told the computers supystem was faulty  we couldn't get the 25% discount.  Humph.  Any how, we coughed up, and flew down with no more hassle.

There is a lot of security checked both in airports and public buildings in India, but you are somehow left with the impression that they are actually only going through the motions...

But on a lighter note in this huge advert seen in Bangalore airport I see they are looking to Disney for housing inspiration:

Words failed me too!

When we arrived there was a beautiful sunset, so that was a lovely end to the day.  Our travelling didn't stop there though as we were met by another driver and spent the next four hours on the road to Mysore.

All in all, our travelling down through India was the same length of time it had taken us to fly from Heathrow to Dubai!  That's just how big India is; hadn't really appreciated that until now.

It's also much warm down south!
