We saw the Marahaja's Palace last night so this afternoon we went to see it in the day light. As with much of the architecture it is a mixture of Muslim, Hindu and colonial styles. Rather spectacular, but I would to want to live there.
We had a guided tour around, but I am nearly splendid-palaced out. Besides which we had to give our cameras in so I had nothing to distract me!
Walking back to the hotel there were plenty more street traders,
Sacred cows in the street
I wonder if the red horns are a form of traffic protection??
Not many slouching backs here...it needs to be ramrod straight to carry things on your head without hands.
